In a sensational broad daylight shoot-out in Mathura, a 20-year-old girl and her mother, who both were sexually exploited, were sprayed with bullets when they were going to record their statements on Thursday morning. While the girl was killed in the attack, her mother was still battling for her life. local police registered a case in this regard against unknown persons but suspicion was laid on head of a prominent ashram, against whom both the victims were going to give their statements.
Reports said that Savitri and her mother Kamla (both name changed) hailing from lakshminagar locality of Mathura, were going to record their statements in the local court at Mathura on Thursday morning. Both, mother and daughter were reportedly fighting to get justice in their sexually exploitation case, as the local police allegedly tried to help the accused to go scot free. According to reports from
Mathura, last year, Kamla lodged a report with the local police station in which she claimed that she and her daughter were going to Govindacharya Sewa Manglam Sansthan as they were followers of it’s incharge Govindacharya. Kamla said that the incharge, however cheated them and had raped her while also made attempt to sexually exploit her daughter but luckily they both managed to somehow leave his ashram. The local police which registered a case in the matter have clean chit to Govindacharya and filed a final report. However, Kamla and her daughter opposed the move and went to court against the final report. On Thursday, both Kamla and her daughter were summoned by the court to get their statements recorded in the matter.
Reports further said that when both were on way to court on Thursday morning, two unknown miscreants rounded them at Yamumapar area and opened indiscriminate fire killing Savitri on the spot while critically injuring her mother. local police which reached the spot claimed to be looking into all the aspects. However, Harendra Singh, who was husband of Kamla lodged a report in this regard. The cops said that they detained some persons and were grilling them to extract whether the killing was a fall out of rape case or some other motive was behind the killing.
Meanwhile, in another sensational case of honour killing, a youth was brutally hacked to death by the family members of the girl in Bulundshahr on early Thursday morning. local police which launched a massive hunt for the killers suspected that the girl might be also killed and dumped somewhere to conceal the crime. Zaved, hailing from Saraikazi area Kotwali in Bulundshahr, lodged a report with the local police in which he claimed that his 22-year-old brother Abid aka Raju, was having an affair with the neighbourhood girl whom he identified as Sharmeena (20).
He said that both Abid and Sharmeena also get engaged with each other few months back but as the family members of the girl were not happy with their daughter’s choice so about a month back, they broke down the engagement and fixed the marriage of their daughter somewhere else. Zaved claimed that Sharmeena and his brother opposed the move but the family members of the girl threatened to kill both if they would raise their head against their decision. He said that finding no other way, both Abid and Sharmeena eloped on Wednesday afternoon, after which the girl’s family members came and assured that they will conduct a Rs Nikah’ (marriage) of the duo if they will return immeidiately and save them from embarrassment. He stated that hoping that the family members would get both married, they called back Abid and Sharmeena from Gautam budhnagar on late Wedneday night. However, on early Thursday morning, Sharmeena’s family members whom he identified as Sharief, Naved, Bobby, Badlu, all natives of Sheikhsarai, Sannu, Chaman, Shameem, all residents of Saraikazi and Kaluwa, hailing from Hirapur, and some unknown persons struck at his house and forcibly pulled out both Abid and Sharmeena. They kidnapped both and later brutally hacked his brother with sharp edged weapons at Kali river bridge in Mustafa Ghari locality of Mathura. While the body of Abid was recovered and sent for autopsy, the cops who were trying to nab the accused suspected they also probably killed the girl and dumped her body in some river to conceal the crime. Efforts were on to trace out Sharmeena and arrest her family members.
