Singing paean to Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and terming him a messiah, a section of farmers said that the state government always worked for their welfare and showed the resolve to solve the problems faced by the farmer community.

“Yogi Adityanath has always taken decisions for farmers’ welfare. The chief minister and his government has shown dedication towards the growth of the agri sector and hence he is a ‘messiah’ for us,” said farmer Umakant Gupta from Malihabad after being gifted a tractor by the chief minister at an event in Lucknow on Kisan Diwas to commemorate the birth anniversary of former Prime Minister Chaudhary Charan Singh.

Farmer Aarif Siddiqui from Unnao said that it was only because of Yogi Adityanath that he came to know about different farmer-centric schemes that benefited them a lot.

“The government is providing free good quality seeds which has resulted in higher yield, better quality of produce and increased profit,” he said.

The chief minister interacted with the farmers of the state and distributed tractors and cheques up to Rs 3 lakh. Later, he said that his government was working with a commitment in the interest of farmers.
