Gaurav Choudhary, and hundred of his supporters staged a strong protest against power hike

District Congress president, Gaurav Choudhary, and hundred of his supporters staged a strong protest against power hike inside collectrate compound on Thursday afternoon. They later handover a memorandum addressed to Governor, seeking his urgent intervention to give relief to the public from increase in power. 

Interestingly, Gaurav, to show his strength to the senior leaders, had kept himself away when all the other Congress leaders staged a demonstration throughout the state on Wednesday. Even state president, Nirmal Khatri, attended one of the dharna organised in Ambedkarnagar on Wednesday. 

Spokesman of the DCC, Konark Dixit claimed that hundred of Congress leaders collected at Globe Park and marched towards to Collectrate compound. They later staged a demonstration inside and demanded that district magistrate should come out and assured them of relief to the public from recent power hike by the state government. later after about a hour long demonstration, they hand-over the memorandum and called off their agitation. The prominent leaders who attended the dharna, are Maroof Khan, Amarnath Agarwal, Virendra Madan, RP Singh, Dwijendra Tripathi etc.
