The state BJP on Friday announced the names of the chiefs of different frontal outfits by appointing a political green horn Swati Singh as Chief of the Mahila Morcha. The new incumbent happens to be the wife expelled party leader Dayashanker Singh.
State BJP spokesperson Chandra Mohan said that Mohanlalganj MP Kaushal Kishore will be the president of Schedule Caste Morcha, BJP MP Chote lal Kharvar will be the chief of Schedule Tribe Morcha and Haider Abbas of Varanasi would be the president of Minority Morcha.
The nomination of Swati Singh of Ballia, to the post of Mahila Morcha president is a big elevation of a woman, who entered politics barely three months back after her husband was arrested and sent to jail for making derogatory remarks against BSP chief Mayawati in July.
Swati Singh vociefrously countered the BSP leaders, who during their protest, made objectionable remarks about her minor daughter and other female members of her family. Swati single handedly led the campaign against the BSP leaders like leader of Opposition in legislative Council Naseemuddin Siddiqui and state BSP chief Ram Achal Rajbhar for making objectionable remarks against her minor daughter and mother in law.
Swati Singh's campaign forced Mayawati to tone down her offensive against the BJP. A section of BJP leaders had also campaigned that Swati be given a party ticket for the 2017 Assembly polls from a seat in Ballia.
