Four more 'fake' teachers found

The sleuths of Special Task Force (STF) probing the teacher recruitment scam which was unearthed after it was found that many people had secured jobs in government schools by submitting forged documents of a woman named ‘Anamika Shukla’, made another breakthrough when they found that four teachers were working at four places on the identity of ‘Swati Tewari’

The probe has revealed so far that a cumulative salary of over Rs 1 crore was drawn in the name of ‘Anamika Shukla’ in the last 13 months from 25 schools, exposing rampant corruption in the education system.

According to reports, the STF, during the course of investigation into the scam in the Education department, recently found that four women were working as government teachers on the educational documents and identity of another teacher ‘Swati Tiwari’.

While two ‘Swati Tiwari’ were found to be working in Deoria, one each was found to be working in Barabanki and Sitapur. The verification by the STF further showed that the real Swati Tiwari was a government teacher in Gorakhpur and her documents were fraudulently used by others to get government jobs.

After collecting all the relevant details from the Education department, the STF went ahead with legal proceedings and nabbed one fake teacher, identified as Hrishikesh Mani Tripathi, from Behta in Sitapur.

During interrogation, Tripathi revealed that his father was posted as a teacher in Deoria and he gave him the educational documents of Bajrang Bhushan. Tripathi confessed that his wife, Sneh Lata, also used the documents of another teacher ‘Swati Tiwari’ to get a job at a government school in Sitapur.

The officer said the STF traced the real Swati Tiwari in Gorakhpur where she is working as a government teacher.

The cops tried to nab Sneh Lata but she left Sitapur soon after her husband was arrested. She is absconding.

Another fake teacher from Barabanki working as Swati Tewari has been arrested while those working in Deoria have been suspended and all efforts are being made to arrest them.

Separate cases have been registered in this regard against the above accused by the STF.
