The killers managed to escape before the villagers entered the house and later called the police.

Superintendent of Police of Ballia, Raj Karan Nayyar, reached the spot along with other senior officials and a forensic team. The victim’s son later claimed before the police that neither his father nor he had any dispute with anyone which could lead to such brutal killing that took place inside the house when his father was sleeping. Meanwhile, a youth was found murdered in Khandi, 500 metres ahead of Dikhtauli on Shikohabad-Pratappur road in Firozabad on Tuesday morning. The villagers who first saw the body informed the police after which the cops reached the spot and sent the body for post-mortem.
