Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand Narain Dutt Tiwari too vacated his government bungalow, which was allotted to him as a former CM on Tuesday. In the absence of any of the family members as Tiwari is in hospital in New Delhi, his bungalow was vacated by his personal secretary Mukesh Sharma. The deadline to vacate the bungalow was June 3, but they did it on Tuesday. But taking a lesson from the Akhilesh Yadav episode, the media persons were shown the entire bungalow by the representative of N D Tiwari and were also given the entire list of the government items. “There are six ACs including one faulty one taken for repair besides all taps and sofas and other things are intact.
We have also given the entire list of the articles to the official of the estate department in the bungalow so that no controversy arises after we hand over the key to the government,” Sharma said. Tiwari was the sixth and last former CM to vacate the official bungalow after the Supreme Court’s order. Earlier like Mulayam Singh Yadav and his son Akhilesh Yadav, Tiwari too had sought two year’s time to vacate the bungalow. N D Tiwari also put up a board of a Trust on his name in front of his bungalow. But later he vacated the bungalow when all the others did it. Mayawati too have vacated her 13-A Mall Avenue bungalow after even claiming that her residence is the Manyawar Kashi Ram Yaadgar Vishramlaya Sthal. But when the government refused to acknowledge her claim, she quietly shifted to her nearby private bungalow. Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh and Rajasthan Governor Kalyan Singh have already vacated their bungalows, which had forced the SP and BSP leaders to follow suit.
