A 27-year-old network engineer associated with Uttar Pradesh National Informatics Centre unit was killed under mysterious circumstances in Barabanki. However, his family members alleged the role of a BSP MlA from Gorakhpur behind the murder.Reports said that the body of Shikhar Srivastava, a resident of Bahraich, was found in Badaosarai road in Balrahi area on Barabanki on Tuesday morning.
Victim had marks of sharp edge weapons on his body, which suggested that he was brutally stabbed to death by someone who later dumped the body at a secluded spot. Superintendent of Police (SP), Barabanki, Abdul Hameed claimed that they sent the body for autopsy test and were probing the matter. However, the family members of the victim alleged the role of BSP MlA from Bansgaon seat in Gorakhpur Vijay Anand Bajpai behind the killing.
According to the victim’s family, the MlA’s wife had allegedly taken Rs 3.5 lakh from Shikhar promising him better job but could not fulfill her promise. Shekhar was asked to visit the MlA’s residence in lucknow on Monday but later he did not return and his body was recovered, pointing towards the hands of BSP MlA.
Meanwhile in Mathura, three girls have allegedly gone missing from an NGO office. Sisters Sita (18) and Rita (17) from Dhaulpur in Rajasthan and 15-year-old Ritu from Modinipur in West Bengal went missing from Ashray Sadan NGO situated near Taras temple in Vrindavan on Sunday, Deputy Superintendent of Police, in Mathura, Anil Yadav disclosed here on Tuesday.
He said that the incident came to light when the girls were found missing while taking attendance in the ashram. “A love letter and a letter from Sita stating that she should not be searched as she is going on her own has been found,” Yadav said. The letter was written in Bengali and penned by Datapanni, Ritu’ brother. Her father is working with RK Mission Ashram Vrindavan, he said. A complaint was filed by the councillor Sunita Chaturvedi in the case on Monday. We have informed Ritu’s father and her brother is being interrogated, claimed local police.
