Expose faulty policies of central, state govts: Maya to BSP workers

Exhorting party workers to work with a missionary zeal, Bahujan Samaj Party president Mayawati issued fresh directives asking them to expose the faulty policies of the state and Central governments.

"Do not get misled by the canard being spread by the other parties. Work hard to ensure the victory of BSP in all the parliamentary constituencies of the state," Mayawati said in the directive issued to party workers on Friday.

The BSP supremo said the party had decided to go it alone in this election because of the divisive tactics of other parties. She said in the 2009 lok Sabha election and the 2012 assembly election, the BSP had suffered heavily because all other parties had joined hands against it.

"Get ready for a direct fight with all political parties. Expose the nefarious designs of all political parties. Inform people, especially at the village level, about the anti-Dalit policies of the Central and state governments. Make people aware how they are suffering because of these faulty policies. There is a big battle ahead of us. Work with a missionary zeal to defeat these forces," Mayawati said in a statement issued here.

She also thanked the party workers, office-bearers and party co-ordinators for making the Saavdhan Rally a grand success. "People came from all over the country and had a darshan of dalit leaders in the memorials BSP Government had constructed," she said.

Mayawati also had discussion with party leaders and gave directions about the coming lok Sabha elections.
