Exhorting newly recruited IAS, IFS and PCS officials to create their own brands Principal Secretary, Infrastructure and Industrial Development Department Dr Surya Pratap Singh asked them to come up with innovative ideas to develop entrepreneurial spirit to help society.
While speaking on a topic An overview of Industrial Development Scenario in U.P’ at U.P. Academy of Administration and Management here he said success comes from opportunity, resources and teamwork. In a plain talk about opportunities and challenges in life he said that ‘Brand’ creation was important for upward growth of not only industry but of human beings also. “Unless you do something new you won’t be able to create your brand. When you go beyond, extending your work with positive attitude, that develops your brand,” he said.
Dr Singh said for industrial development of State and for attracting investment in U.P we have to work hard to develop a ‘Brand U.P.’ Given the opportunities, the natural and human resources and strong will to succeed, there is no reason why we cannot spur a turnaround in industrial scenario of Uttar Pradesh, he said. Outlining the importance of self-exploration to young civil servants, Dr Surya Pratap Singh said that they should avoid the group mentality which formed habits.
He said, “Habits are nothing but external influences controlling our behaviour and thought process.” “Break away from these habits and move ahead in an inclusive manner with creativity as a tool,” he suggested. later Ernst & Young, the Knowledge Partner of U.P.
