Exhorting people to vote for Bharatiya Janata Party its national president Amit Shah said that this edition of assembly election is not aimed at to change Chief Minister but to change the `bhagya’ (destiny) of Uttar Pradesh.
In a series of public meetings held in western Uttar Pradesh on Sunday he said that Uttar Pradesh is suffering because of wrong policies of previous governments which centered around caste and corruption. “If you want to change the `bhagya’ of Uttar Pradesh the political parties will have to talk about development and only BJP can usher in development in UP,” he said.
“Therefore, keep it in mind when you go to poll that this election is not for changing Government or Chief Minister but to change the `bhagya’ of this state which is store house of natural resources,” Amit Shah said
He addressed three public meetings at Shamli, Noida and Amroha.
Taking a jibe at the Congress and Samajwadi alliance he said that two shahzadas are campaigning together. look at misfortune both have lost faith of people. “This is an opportunistic alliance. Both the parties know that cannot match BJP therefore both have come together as a support group,” he said.
He said for the last 15 years SP and BSP have ruled Uttar Pradesh. These governments have not only destroyed its resources but have also damaged its reputation. At one time UP was the top state of India and now it is a topper from the bottom.
“The economy of the state is in tatters because none of these governments ever tried to utilize resources to kick-start economy. What these parties gave is unemployment, lawlessness and corruption. The leaders could not see beyond caste. Jobs were given to their caste brother neglecting eligible youth,” Shah said.
“Akhilesh asks when achche din will come. I am telling him that achche din in UP will come from March 11. UP has a potential to become number 1 state in employment generation, electricity production and empowering women. These all will happen after March 11 when people will vote Akhilesh Yadav out of power,” he said.
