“The e-receipt system has been made effective from December 1. All the government chalans can be paid through a click of the mouse at www.rajkosh.up.nic,” Principal secretary finance Rahul Bhatnagar said in a statement issued here on Sunday. He said that links of all the revenue departments and types of payments are available on the portal. The payments could be made without even registering oneself. The e-receipt and the transaction number given by the computer would be applicable in all future government transactions, he said.

“The Government order regarding this was issued on November 27. All the government agencies, treasuries, linked banks and Divisional commissioners have been informed about this portal. Relevant information have been sent to district treasuries to link with SBI,” he said. Bhatnagar said this e-receipt system will not only save the precious time of a person but will also help the treasury officials to compile the information with a click of the mouse. He will be in line with the lead bank of the area and every evening the accounts could be tallied within minutes.“This will also cut middle-men from the system. This will benefit the aam aadmi on the road. Who not only will save time but also money. In turn, the government will get revenue in time,” Bhatnagar said.
