Uttar Pradesh government has objected on the reported statement of the Congress over BHU’s link to promote ‘Hindutava’ and said that it is a shameful act of the party which claims itself as a nationalist outfit.
UP government spokesperson and state health minister Sidharthnath Singh said here on Thursday that the achievement of the BHU was outstanding and engaging it any type of politics was deplorable.
“Congress, which had ‘claimed’ itself as a party of the Muslims is now trying to defame a historical educational institution just for its own vested political interest. These Congress leaders have gone politically bankrupt and thus now attacking the educational institutions,” he alleged.
Meanwhile students of the BHU too objected to Congress’s statement that ‘BHU has lost credibility as open and plural university, it is now a tool to promote Hindutva’ .
A student leader alleged that a party whose leader has no credibility is raising questions on BHU, its like spitting on sun.
