Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that discipline taught in schools and colleges was the foundation block on which the pyramid of a strong and benevolent society stood and in turn made the country strong.
“Discipline encourages in achieving the goal and helps in building a strong foundation,” the chief minister said at the Founder’s Week celebration of Maharana Pratap Shiksha Parishad in Gorakhpur on Wednesday.
Himachal Pradesh Chief Minister Jai Ram Thakur was the chief guest at the function.
Yogi said the founder’s week celebration was a festival for all students.
“It connects us with our past. The programme also reveals the discipline of the present and future generations,” he said.
The chief minister said that this annual event was also a way of showing gratitude to the great personalities who contributed in the progress of the institution right from its inception till it gained its present reputation.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that single drops of water fill a pitcher or form the river or sea and in the same way every moment of life gives us inspiration.
“Learn to get up after stumbling and turn challenges into opportunities. Many have achieved success in their fields while following this rule. Learn about such people and move ahead by taking inspiration from them. Healthy competition and positive thinking will help you in this,” the chief minister said.
Speaking on the occasion, the Himachal Pradesh chief minister said, “I feel fortunate to be a part of this event. The objective of the MP Shiksha Parishad is not commercialisation of education, but instilling culture and values through education. This is the foundation of any nation, on which a good and strong India is to be built. This is also the dream of Prime Minister Narendra Modi.”
Appreciating the good work done by the Uttar Pradesh government, Thakur said ever since Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took charge of the state, the image and identity of the state had changed.
“The all-round development is a proof of this. Through this radical change, Uttar Pradesh is looking forward to become the growth engine of the country,” he said.
“Educational institutions are being established in Uttar Pradesh and the infrastructure here is being strengthened today. Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath’s sacred background is making Uttar Pradesh feel proud in the world,” he added.
