Samajwadi Party leader and former Member of Parliament Dimple Yadav tested positive for COVID-19 on Wednesday.
Her daughter has also tested positive for novel coronavirus infection.
Taking to Twitter, Dimple Yadav posted, “ I have tested positive for COVID-19. I am fully vaccinated and not showing any symptoms. For the safety of myself and others, I have isolated myself. All those who have met me recently are requested to get tested soon."
The samples of Dimple Yadav and her daughter were taken on Tuesday and they tested positive on Wednesday.
With his wife and daughter coronavirus positive, this could impact Samajwadi Party chief Akhilesh Yadav's campaign ahead of the UP assembly elections to be held early next year.
