Continuing Party’s agenda to expose the wrongdoings of the Narendra Modi led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) government in the Centre, local district unit of the Congress here in lucknow, organised yet another block level meeting in Sarojinagar on Monday afternoon.
``Demonetisation is the biggest scam in the country in which Narendra Modi and his entire government was involved”, alleged Party State General Secretary, Vinod Mishra, while attacking the Modi government. Mishra, who is incharge of the Party affairs here in lucknow and was the chief guest in the meeting organised in Sarojninagar on Monday afternoon, claimed that not just the common people but the entire economic development in the country had came to stand still just due to demonetisation and after implementation of Goods and Services Tax (GST).
Mishra said that all the promises made by Narendra Modi during election campaign in 2014 like bringing in Achche Din for the people, creating 2 crore jobs every year, bringing in black money and depositing Rs 15 in every account, ensuring 50 percent profit to the farmers over the total cost of production of food grains etc, all remained `Jumala’ and so far none of them have been fulfilled.
Mishra said that he asked all the party workers and leaders to hold chaupal and visit every village to aware the public that how they were cheated in 2014 through fake promises so they (public) must think before voting for anyone in 2019. Congress general secretary also said to have inform the people about the welfare schemes made by the Party during 10-years of United Progressive Alliance (UPA) government in the Centre.
