Invoking nationalism, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath equated one of the opposition candidates in Saharanpur as damaad (son-in-law) of global terrorist Azhar Masood and asked people to defeat persons who speak the language of terrorists.
Without naming any opposition candidate, Yogi said, “BJP is committed to building nation and will not allow any traitor to dent India’s integrity. Our philosophy is ‘tera vaibhav rahe hamesha maa, hum char din rahein na rahein’ while they (Congress, SP and BSP) believe in ‘mera vaibhav rahe hamesha, desh char din rahe na rahe’.”
He said, “Azhar Masood ki bhasha bolne walon ko raundane ka kaam hum karenge.” (We will crush the people who speak the language of Azhar Masood).
Yogi Adityanath said Azhar Masood would meet the same fate as Osama bin Laden. “You must have heard about Osama bin Laden. He was killed brutally. Azhar Masood will be killed in the same manner,” he said.
Yogi said some parties had been offering biryani to terrorists but Modi government had only one medicine for terrorists — bullet and bomb.
“The previous governments have prevented Indians from playing loudspeakers during Hindu festivals like Janmashtami and kanwar yatra, while we say ghanta, shankh, nagade, dhol bajayiye, koi rok nahi (Play musical instruments during your religious festivals, nobody can stop you).
