Congress MlC, Deepak Singh handed over an application seeking disqualification of Party MlC, Dinesh Pratap Singh, who left to join Bharatiya Janta Party last month.
According to Deepak Singh, he handed over an application to disqualify Dinesh Pratap Singh, as his act comes under the anti-defection law. Dinesh Pratap won the election on Congress ticket so now after joining BJP, he is not entitled to continue as member of the legislative Council, Deepak Singh claimed. It may be mentioned that Dinesh Pratap Singh, joined BJP in presence of Party president Amit Shah last month in Amethi. He was presently leader of the Congress in the Council.
