The politics over `Dalits’ further hots up after Congress leaders reacted to Aam Adami Party (AAP) leader Kumar Vishwas allegations on Rahul Gandhi that Congress vice-president had done nothing for a Dalit women Sunita in Amethi.

``Vishwas was unnecessary wanted to create controversy over Rahul Gandhi doing nothing for Sunita, a dalit woman hailing from Amethi”, alleged senior Congress leader and aspirant for coming Parliament elections from Gorakhpur, Siddharthpriya Srivastava claiming that AAP leader is making politics over the issue.  He was reacting to allegations of Vishwas, who also spend a night at Sunita’s house claiming  that Rahul had done nothing for her and that she is living in the same condition.

``Rahul not visited or spent a night at Sunita’s residence to change her fortune but he went to stay there along with houses of some more Dalits as Congress MP just wanted to know and feel that under what conditions and how the dalits and poor were living as well as what problems they faced in life”, claimed Srivastava. He said that Rahul is leader of masses and not individuals so he was concerned for the entire society particularly Dalits and down-trodden section of the society and wanted to formulate policy which is for welfare of entire community and not any  individual as alleged by Vishwas that Sunita get nothing after Rahul’s visit.

Further attacking Vishwas and AAP Party, Siddharthpriya Srivastava said that they were not concerned for the `Aam Adami’ otherwise  they must not  have raise such issues. ``Vishwas and AAP party should know that it was Rahul Gandhi as well as Sonia Gandhi concern for the Dalits and down-trodden section of the society that Congress led government in the Centre had introduced several Bills in the Parliament for their welfare”, asserted Siddarthpriya Srivastava. The Food Security Act, which ensured right to food to every poor, National Rural Health Mission, which provides medical facilities to poors, Right to Education, which forwarded right for free education to all members of down-trodden section of the society, mid-day meal scheme, which ensured one time food to all school going children, Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Gurantee Act, which facilitate at least 100 days employment poors, and many more such schemes have come up in recent years just as Rahul and Sonia went to the villages and directly learnt through their mouth about the problems faced by them’, added Srivastava.

Congress leaders said that above are the schemes which is meant for entire nation but there are series of projects and welfare programmes for all which have been already taken up by Rahul Gandhi in his Parliament constituency. He said that Vishwas should first assess the ground reality and purpose of Rahul’s visit to Dalit’s or poor’s house and measures  taken thereafter, only then he should make such baseless charges on MP from Amethi.
