Even as the Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) is holding a rally in lucknow on October 9, former BSP leader, now rebel Daddu Parsad's outfit Bahujan Mukti Party (BMP) is slated to hold a rally the same day in the state capital to observe the 10th death anniversary of BJP founder Kanshi Ram.

A Bahujan Samaj Nirman rally would be inaugurated by Gujarati youth leader Hardik Patel at Ramabai Ambedkar ground which might give a jolt to the Mayawati. Patel had challenged reservation asking either to review it or to give the same quota for members of his community.

Interestingly, Daddu Prasad becomes the second BSP rebel leader who challenged Mayawati's legacy by holding a rally parallel to her rally the same day.

Earlier former BSP Swami Prasad Maurya, who joined the BJP, held a meeting at Rama Bai Sthal to send across a message to the BSP chief that he too enjoyed a considerable clout among the Dalits - an exercise which fel flate on its face despite the presence of BJP chief Amit Shah at the rally.

BSP rebel Daddu Prasad told media persons in lucknow on Thursday that his outfit's rally would be attended by a massive crowd and would 'show' the BSP its 'real place.' Prasad, who was sacked by Ms Mayawati midway through herregie, said Hardik Patel would be the chief guest at the rally while Hazrat Maulana Salman Hussani Nadvi of Ekta Manch would be the special invitee.

The BMP was founded on December 6, 2012 and was set up as a political wing of All India Backward (SC, ST, OBC) and Minority Communities Employees' Federation (BAMCEF). The BMP presented Aroon Yadav as its PM candidate ahead of the 2014 lok Sabha polls and contested around 300 seats but won none. Meanwhile, the BMP has announced that speeches of leaders in the rally would be relayed live through Real Voice Radio.
