Crime against children continued unabated in the state, when a 7 year old girl was raped and then brutally murdered in Achnera area of the Taj city last night.
Reports said that Priyanka (name changed) went to attend a marriage function at Kachuara locality last evening along with her family members. She was later found missing from the function after which the family members alerted everyone and massive search was made. After the family members failed to locate her, they informed the local police about the incident but the cops not took cognizance.
However after few hours, the body of victim was recovered from the terrace of a nearby house where the marriage function was held. Family members claimed that circumstantial evidences and injury at private parts of the victim both suggested that someone kidnapped or lured her to the place where she raped.
later as the accused was probably known to the victim so in fear of being identified by her later on, he brutally battered her to death by crushing her face with a brick. later the cops who reached the spot claimed to have registered a case of rape and murder in the matter and a massive hunt was made to trace out the accused and arrest him.
