Cracking a disciplinary whip Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has suspended eight forest officials including Divisional Forest officer for dereliction of duty, government spokesman said in a statement here on Friday. The axe fell on DFO Bahraich Ravi Kumar Singh and seven others including rangers, foresters and forest guards. Spokesman said that action was taken for the failure of these officials to prevent illegal tree felling in Bahraich range. Warning has been issued against officials to work diligently or get ready to face the music, he said. Government has also transferred Conservator forest Agra range Vibhash ranjan for dereliction of duty.
