Covid: RRP PIL seeks clarification on vaccination

Published on:

Rashtriya Rashtravadi Party chief Pratap Chandra filed a Public Interest Litigation (PIL) in Lucknow bench of Allahabad High Court on Wednesday, seeking a Central government clarification on the need of Covid vaccination for those who already have developed antibodies.
Petitioners’ counsel Nutan Thakur said that various researches and tests showed that Covid antibodies do not develop in all people who were vaccinated and in contrast, in many cases, antibodies were found to be present even a year after the person got affected by coronavirus. The petitioner said that the purpose of Covid vaccination was to develop antibodies.
“Hence there does not seem much reasoning in administering Covid vaccine to those who already have antibodies developed in them, more so when the vaccines are in early stage of development and need much more research to come to the final stage. Many private and public authorities are making Covid vaccination compulsory for various programmes and activities. Many representations were sent in this regard to the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare, requesting to clarify their position but there has been no response so far, hence this PIL has been filed,” Pratap Chandra said.
