When entire nation was concerned with safety and security of fairer sex, how the cops were trying to hush up sexual exploitation cases in the State came to the fore when a local court at Myzaffarnagar has rejected final report of the police in a gang-rape case and ordered further probe into the matter.
The move was made by the court after the victim hailing from Katka hamlet of Muzaffarnagar opposed the report. Interestingly the foul play on part of the cops is also evident as it took less than a week for them to finish the probe into the matter and decide that it was a fake case. They not even followed the directions of the Home Deparment and Police Directorate guidelines in the matter which clearly said that all sexual exploitation victims should be produced before magistrate and their trauma should be recorded so that necessary action could be taken later on.
Reports said that the final report filed by the local police in the gang rape case was rejected by the judge on Monday when the 14-year-old victim appeared in the court and opposed it, saying that the police have not recorded her statement before deciding to close the investigation. The girl was allegedly gang-raped by five persons after being confined in her house at Katka village in the district on June 5 last. local police which initially even refused to register a case against the accused, took cognizance of the matter only on June 11 and that too on the directions of Superintendent of Police.
To hush up the matter they reportedly filed a final report in the matter on June 16 last just after making investigation for less than a week. Meanwhile after much pressure of the local public as well as media, the cops at Meerut finally went ahead and nabbed the Bahujan Samaj Party leader Amit Bhadana and one of his colleague in connection with a gang rape of a college student on Tuesday. They sent both the accused to jail and now claimed to have launched hunt for the remaining two of the accused who were absconding since the matter was reported to the police on late Sunday night.
According to reports, the cops of Nauchandi police raided hideout of prime accused Amit Bhadana and his associate Sbobhit and managed to nab them on Tuesday morning. Both were later taken to police station where after being grilled they revealed the names of two of the remaining accused. They also said to have confessed of the crime. later the cops produced them before the magistrate and they were send to jail after taking them on judicial remand. Three teams were now working on possible hideouts of the remaining two accused but they could not be arrested till the late evening.
It may be mentioned that in a shocking incident reflecting deteriorating law and order condition of the State, a college student was cheated through a Rs Rs facebook account’’ by a BSP leader who along with three of his associate gang raped the victim that too on a moving SUV on Sunday. The accused also made her clippings and threatened her with dire consequences. Sunita (name changed), a class 12th student of a prominent girls college of Meerut got in touch with a BSP leader Amit Bhadana through facebook account.
The accused who enjoyed huge clout in the area impressed the girl with his muscle and money power and had invited her for a Rs meeting’ on Sunday. Unaware what was going in the mind of the BSP leader, the girl wentahead and met Amit Bhadana on Sunday evening, The accused who was accompanied by his friends later pushed the girl inside a SUV and they all gang raped her one by one on moving vehicle through VVIP areas of the town. To terrorise the victim, the accused also made her nude clippings and threatened to upload it on porno sites if she will disclose the incident to anyone before setting her free. The girl brought the matter in the knowledge of her family members who subsequently reportedly the matter to cops at Nauchandi police station. Interestingly the local police initially refused to lodge any case but when the family members contacted senior officers, they took cognizance.
