In a bizarre incident, a couple suspecting that their four-month old daughter had brought miseries for them, sacrificed her at Raghunath Bhawan Temple in Ayodhya on Tuesday night. When the visitors rushed to nab the couple, they also jumped in Saryu river to save themselves. They were later nabbed by the police, a case was registered and they were sent to jail on Wednesday.
" My wife and I have been facing lots of trouble since by daughter was born four months back. We also dreamt that a girl child would only create trouble for us and lead to our death,” disclosed Mulchandra Chaurasiya - the girl's father, while being quizzed by the Ayodhya police late Tuesday night.
Chaurasiya of lalmanpur hamlet in Ambedkarnagar said that in order to get rid of his lean patch, he and wife Susheela Charausiya, decided to sacrifice the girl at a temple in Ayodhya and appease the deity. They visited Raghunath Bhawan Temple on Tuesday night and threw their daughter with full force on the floor causing immediate death. On finding that they would be nabbed by the visitors, they tried to jump in the Saryu river but the cops nabbed them.
