The Election Commission of India (ECI) will hold biennial polls to three graduate and two teachers constituencies of the Uttar Pradesh Legislative Council on January 30.
The Tenure of three graduate and two teachers seats will end on January 12 next.
According to the ECI statement on Thursday, candidates will be able to file their nomination papers between January 5 and 12 and from January 13 to 15, papers filed by the candidates will be scrutinised.
January 16 is the last day for withdrawal of nominations.
Voting will be held on January 30, between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm. Counting of votes will be taken up on all the seats on February 2 from 8 am.
The seats going to polls are Gorakhpur-Faizabad, Kanpur and Bareilly- Moradabad graduate seats. The teachers' seats are Allahabad-Jhansi and Kanpur.
