Expressing innocence the sacked former Khadi and Gramodyog minister Rajaram Pandey said that there was a conspiracy behind his removal from the ministry and the situation was blown out of proportion.
"My statement had been projected in a wrong manner as I have great respect for the Bollywood stars," he said while announcing that he will meet Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav and party general secretary Ram Gopal Yadav to place his views.
Talking to reporters Pandey said that though he was not aware who was behind the conspiracy but certainly there is someone who has tried to confuse the leaders on his statement. "The words were put in my mouth and the media was wrongly briefed about it," he said.
Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav sacked Pandey from his ministry government after the Khadi minister made remark by saying that the roads in Pratapgarh would be constructed like the cheeks of Hema Malini and Madhuri Dixit. "Facial is being done now. After facial women look beautiful," he said.
It is not the first time Pandey was embroiled in controversy. He had earlier campared the beauty of two lady district magistrate for which he was reprimanded by State Women Commission. Even his deputy Haji Riaz Ahmad, Minister of State Khadi and Gramodyog, had blamed Pandey for taking bribe.
"I will clear my stand before the national leadership. They should know the truth," he said. But when asked whether he will meet Chief Minister, Pandey avoided the question.
