The inability of the Yeddyurappa government in proving BJP’s majority on the floor of the House in Karnataka came as a huge boost to Congress party workers in Uttar Pradesh. A jubilinat crowd of workers celebrated the BJP’s failure by bursting crackers and distributing sweets to at the state party headquarters at Mall Avenue on Saturday evening.

The party said that the BJP’s defeat in Karanatka was the victory of democracy in the country and now they saw a ray of hope that unconstitutional and corrupt practices of the Central government would stop and pave way for a fair battle of ballots in coming elections in Madhya Pradesh, Rajasthan and the 2019 general elections.

“We won the initial war to uphold Constitution and democracy in the country. We hope that now the Apex Court would help us restore a democratic government with majority in Goa, Manipur Meghalaya, Bihar also,” asserted Congress leader in Council, Deepak Singh on Saturday evening.

Demanding resignation of Governor of Karnatka for his ‘illegal move’, Singh said that the BJP was called to form government through horse trading and corruption in the southern state but timely intervention of the Apex Court foiled the attempt of both PM Narendra Modi and BJP chief Amit Shah.

Singh said that now the countdown of the Modi government at the Centre has started and the people of the country will throw them out of power in the 2019 general elections.
