To facilitate Party workers and leaders to have more in-depth information about freedom movement, culture and economics policy of the Party etc, Congress would soon open a library here at Party’s state head quarter in Mall Avenue.

The move was reportedly planned to update the Party’s activists so they could move amongst the masses and tell the golden history and work done from freedom struggle till all round development of the country.

Sources also said that to meet out expenses for the library at cash starved UPCC head quarter, state president, Nirmal Khatri while giving green signal to the proposal had also assured a contribution of Rs 10,000 on his behalf. The remaining amount for smooth functioning of the library would be met out through donation by other senior leaders. Interestingly, one of the senior Party leader who also remained president of a Students Union’ even offered his services to hold weekly lectures at the Party’s state head quarter in which workers and activists could come and learn about the Congress rich culture and it’s ideologies.

``To attract the new generation to come and join the Party, we have to tell them not only about our glorious but also about contribution of our leaders in the freedom struggle as well as post-independence development of the country”, claimed a senior Congress leader who remained minister here in the State government. He said that Opposition Parties were showing wrong picture about Congress to the today’s generation who had no knowledge of the past and who even took birth after demolition of disputed structure in Ayodhya so they had to update Congressmen to tell the youngsters that how the Party had made sacrificed for integrity, unity as well as development of the country, he claimed.

The leader further said that they felt that their Party leaders were themselves not updated about the Congress economic as well as political agenda, what they had done during independence war, and above all what first prime minister Pandit Jawahar lal Nehru and later lal Bhadhur Shastri, Indira Gandhi, Rajeev Gandhi, etc had done to make the country self-dependent in every field and led them to be one of the biggest power in the world. He claimed that to educate the leaders and workers about it so that they could  educate the people about their glorious history, they are going to open a library in the Party’s state head-quarter where books and literatures regarding Congress policies and work done by their leaders will be made available. He said that they will request the Party activists to take advantage of the library in keeping themselves updated on every issue and later to forward those inputs amongst the masses so that any present political Party could not misguide the present generation about Congress’s contribution in taking the Country to the top of the world.
