Royal battle between Sanjay Singh and his son Anant Vikram Singh, took an interesting turn when while Congress MP alleged that Garima Singh (his first wife), is using her son to grab `Rajmahal’, Anant Vikram accused Sanjay and his second wife Amita Singh, for creating nuisance and had demanded a probe by the sleuths of the Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) into the Sunday’s incident.
``The local administration is playing into the hands of Sanjay Singh and Amita Singh, and had fabricated fake charges on him and his supporters in the Sunday’s clash in which a police constable was also killed”, claimed Anant Vikram Singh, while demanding a CBI enquiry into the matter. He was talking to media persons though the local administration denied him permission to do so. Gairma Singh also supported her son’s claim and said that only a CBI probe would reveal the truth. Further charging his father of having criminal nexus, Anant Vikram Singh also demanded CBI to reopen ace badminton player Syed odi’s murder case in which his father was an accused. ``Though Sanjay Singh, was acquitted from Syed Modi’s murder case but the judges disposed off the matter due to absence of adequate evidences but had never said that my father was not involved in that killing so CBI must re-opened the probe and truth might come up now”, demanded Anant Vikram Singh. It may be mentioned that Sanjay Singh’s second wife Amita, was initially wife of Syed Modi.
Meanwhile, denying all charges made against him, Sanjay Singh, alleged that his first wife Garima was using Anant Vikram for property. "I will decide who should live in the 'Rajmahal' and who should not after taking legal advice. Anant and daughters Shaivya and Mahima lived with me for 19 years. When Anant was with me he was captain in Merchant Navy and now he is going to become accused of murder," Singh said Replying to a question, Singh said, "I am a responsible father and will get the issue resolved. Some people in media are exaggerating the issue." He further said, that he was owner of the property and could not be stopped from entering it.
He also expressed regret over the death of a police constable, killed on Sunday in a clash between the alleged supporters of his son Anant Vikram Singh and police. "It was very tragic that a constable lost his life. Really I am very sorry and will feel uneasy for ever for this ill-fated incident," the former Union minister and Rajya Sabha MP told
reporters in Amethi. Singh along with his second wife Amita Singh were addressing media persons in the premises of the Bhupati Bhawan palace at Ramnagar after the controversy related to his family erupted.
He said both Anant Vikram Singh and Garima Singh(his first wife) misled the innocent people of Ramnagar and made their unfair use and thus playing with the time and motions of the people.
The District Magistrate, on being asked why Sanjay was given permission to hold a press conference and Anant was denied for the same, said, "As Sanjay is the owner
of the 'Rajmahal' he will decide whom to talk to. As far as Anant is concerned, he was denied permission as it could create violence in the area".
Meanwhile a case has been registered against 257 people, including Anant Vikram Singh, in connection with the killing of a constable in a clash. "An FIR has been registered against 257 people including 250 unidentified ones in connection with Sunday's clash at Amethi police station," District Magistrate Jagat Raj disclosed to reporters on Monday morning. Holding Anant Vikram responsible for the clash between his supporters and the police, the DM said he (Vikram) incited people by sending them messages to gather at the spot. 45-year-old constable Vijay Mishra was killed and six persons were injured in a clash between police and Anant Vikram's supporters in
Amethi, who had gathered outside 'Bhoopati Bhawan', Sanjay Singh's ancestral house, to prevent his (Sanjay's) entry inside it. Anant Vikram occupies the residence with his mother and Sanjay Singh's first wife, Garima. Sanjay Singh and his second wife Amita are locked in a dispute over the ancestral house with Anant Vikram and Garima. Apart from Anant Vikram Singh, those named in the FIR include his supporters Vijay Pratap Singh, Chintu Kumar, Sanjay, Awadhesh, Binnu, and Sunil, Tiwari said. "While Anant has alleged that he is facing life threat from father Sanjay, a similar allegation was made by Sanjay. We have deputed three SHOs of different police stations inside the Bhoopati
Bhawan," he said.
