Congress demonstrates against Modi's anti-farmers policy

Congress would put it’s full strength to make it’s block level demonstration against anti-farmers policy of Narendra Modi’s government, a big success, on Tuesday.

The Party is making desperate attempt to make it’s presence felt in this biggest State having maximum number of Parliament seats. In wake of the above, not just the general secretary of the All India Congress Committee, Madhusudan Mistri, who is also incharge of the Party affairs here in Uttar Pradesh, along with state president, Nirmal Khatri, devoted two days to make the Tuesday’s call a ‘success’ but after Kisan Padyatra in Telangana on coming Thursday and Friday, Congress vice president Rahul Gandhi will be also visiting Amethi, his parliamentary constituency onMay 18 and 19.

He would interact with farmers and Congress workers to give further momentum to Party’s war against the Central Governmentas well as State government on farmer’s related issue. Rahul, would also meet the family members of the farmers who have either committed suicide or died after their crops were destroyed in the un-seasonal rains.

“Congress workers would not just stage demonstration and burn the copies of proposed bill on land acquisition of the Central Government but we will fight on the roads besides forwarding full support to villagers in their war against Modi’s government on the farmer’s issue”, claimed spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee, Siddharth Priya Srivastava. Confirming of the Party’s proposed protest against Modi’s government on Tuesday, UPCC spokesman claimed here on Monday evening that the Congress workers and local villagers would collect in all the 828 blocks of the State to show their solidarity against Centre’s anti-farmers policy.

Srivastava claimed that besides raising the points which are amended in the United Progressive Alliance (UPA)’s introduced land Acquisition Act, just to appease the big business and corporate houses by prime minister Narendra Modi, the Party leaders would also burnt the copies of Ordinance brought by National Democratic Alliance (NDA) on land acquisition.

It may be mentioned that Congress had already organised `Rail and Sadak Roko’ agitation on the farmer’s issue besides holding a big ‘Kisan Rally’ in New Delhi, which was also addressed by Congress President, Sonia Gandhi, former prime minister, Manmohan Singh and Rahul Gandhi.
