Congress demands probe by retire SC judge

Published on:

Demanding a probe by a panel of two sitting Supreme Court judges into the irregularities of Jai Amit Shah, Congress alleged that as an ethics, BJP leaders and Union minister should be removed from the post till the investigation is completed.

The Party also raked up ‘Beta model’ of the BJP which they claim that no such IIM which can given such training like Jai Amit Shah got. State Congress president Raj Babbar while attacking BJP and Union railway minister Piyush Goel, said that people of the country wants to know the truth behind the private companies of Jai Amit Shah, son of BJP president Amit Shah. “Will Prime Minister Narendra Modi, will answer why he is protecting such people and what is his take on his self claimed honesty in the politics,” he questioned.

The Congress workers and leaders also burnt the effigy of Amit Shah in front of the state Congress headquarters in protest on Monday afternoon. Babbar also made seven questions before the BJP and its president Amit Shah to reply which the people of the country wants to know. “Mr Shah will be in UP on Tuesday, he should answer these queries, which the people wanted to know,” he said. Addressing a press conference here on Monday afternoon, the Congress Rajya Sabha member said only a probe by the judges of  the Supreme Court can find out the real story of the companies Temple Enterprises Private ltd and  Kusum Finance Services Pvt ltd when the CBI, ED and even the RBI failed to comply their duties. “How can a company earn a profit of 16,000 times in just a year and the company was immediately closed,” he questioned.

Babbar said that during the period of Piyush Goel when he was power minister, Kusum Fianance Services Pvt ltd got a contract to set up a windmill in Ratlam in Madhya Pradesh for which Indian Renewable Energy Development Agency limited (IREDA) gave a loan of Rs 10.35 crores to this private company. “Do IREDA gives loan to all private companies, which is a big question before the people,” he said. Among the seven questions put on by the UP Congress president, it said that what forced an union minister Piyush Goel to come out openly in support of a private person like Jai Amit Shah. Though he defended that during the UPA regime, no ministers or Congress leaders gave their statements in support of Robert Vadara in the land controversy of Rajasthan and Haryana.

He further said that Kusum Financial Services Private ltd , whose owner is Jai Shah, got a loan of Rs 25 crore from Kaluco cooperative of Gujarat with surety of around Rs 6 crore given on the property of Amit Shah and his friend Yashpal Chudasama. “Will RBI clarify whether all the companies who take a loan from financial institutions of Rs 25 crores has to give surety of just Rs 6 crore. Is it the norm,” he questioned.

Talking about the Temple Enterprises Pvt ltd, also owned by Jai Amit Shah, Babbar said that the company got an unsecured loan of Rs 15.78 crores from one KISF financial Services owned by one Rajesh Khandelwal, who is the head of Ambani group in Gujarat and whose brother in law is the BJP Rajya Sabha member from Jharkhand. “The company KISF had been restricted by SEBI in doing any transition  in the share market and its online balance sheet too did not mention about such loan to Temple Enterprises,” he  said while adding that it is unfortunate that a sacred word like “ temple’ has been misused for financial corruption.

Babbar also wants to know what the business Temple Enterprises Pvt ltd did which gave it a profit of Rs 80 crore and why it was closed in October 2016. Besides, people of the country also wanted to know in which business, the company collected a revenue of Rs 51 crores from offshore. He said that now it is to be seen that will Shah follow the lines of Bangaru lakshman, Nitin Gadkari or even lal Krishna Advani who resigned from BJP’s president’s post on morale ground after their names came in matter of corruption. It is also to be seen whether the prime minister would chose `honesty’ or will go with his friend Amit Shah to save his son’s misdeeds.
