Cong to launch protest against power tariff hike

State Congress will hold a demonstration across the state against price hike from Saturday with Uttar Pradesh Congress Chief, Nirmal Khatri leading the agitators in Etah to kick off the campaign. 

Giving the above information here on Friday evening, spokesman of the UPCC, Virendra Madan said that state president had directed all senior leaders that they should organize a demonstration at district head-quarter at least on one day between Saturday and Monday to protest the decision of government for power tariff hike. 

He claimed  that while Khatri will lead the protest in Etah on Saturday, the other leaders will do the same in other parts of the State. He said that the leaders will hand-over a memorandum demanding the state government to immediately withdraw  the proposed hike particularly when they failed to provide proper power supply to the citizens.
