Cong rubbishes SP's remarks

Published on:

State Congress strongly condemned comments of cabinet minister Rajendra Chowdhary made on senior Congress leader Madhusudan Mistri and accused the Samajwadi

Party for having truck with communal forces like Bharatiya Janta Party and Rastriya Swayamsewak Sangh (RSS) etc. Rajendra Chowdhary, who is also spokesman of the Party reportedly accused Madhusudan Mistri as an agent of RSS.

Terming the Ranjendra Chowdhary’s statement as bundle of lies and far away from facts, spokesman of the Uttar Pradesh Congress Committee (UPCC), Maroof Khan said that it was SP which was having truck with such communal forces. ``Chowdhary must know that it was SP which not just have truck with communal forces but had also joined hands with them to form government in the State", pointed Maroof remainding the SP leaders about how they shake hands with Ram Mandir mascot Kalyan Singh and Sakshi

Maharaj etc. He said that it was SP who promoted communal forces by even facilitating them to enter the State Assembly and even Parliament form time to time. Maroof Khan, who is also chairman of the UPCC Minority Cell even went on to question that who supported BJP to increase it’s tally from two Parliament seats 2 to 89 or who contested elections in minorities dominated constituency in

Gujrat just to ensure the victory of Saffron brigade through division of Muslim vote bank. Not only this,  SP even helped BJP MP from Philibhit, Varun Gandhi to facilitate him in the case regarding hate speech which led to his acquittal in the matter. He claimed that Chowdhary should know that it was not Congress but his Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav who always had high praises for the saffron leader who also faced charges of Babri Mosque
demolition. Congress spokesman claimed that his Party always fought to maintain social and secular fabric of the society and never in their more than 125 year-old history, they ever tried to divide the society on caste or religion line just to get `Power’.

Meanwhile Maroof Khan also took on Samajwadi Party government for deteriorating law and order in the State. ``What could one think of safety of a comman man when even kin of a former home minister of the State were not ,safe in the SP’s regime", he alleged highlighting that how Asha Tripathi, wife of former home minister Satyadeo Tripathi was looted during morning stroll in Indiranagar locality on Wednesday morning. He said that motorcycle
borne miscreants roobed gold chain from wife for former home minister but so far the local police which was informed of the incident failed to make any breakthrough. He demanded that the culprits must be arrested at earliest ,and sent to jail.
