Cong manifesto like ISI document: Yogi

Hitting out at the Congress manifesto, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath said that rashtra dharma was the biggest dharma for a person and a political party but when a party talked about ending sedition laws, it tantamounts to allowing people to go against the nation.

“The Congress released its manifesto which looks like ISI document as it talks about scrapping the sedition law. It means people are allowed to speak ill about the country. If the Congress president has his way, then he will even allow allowance for those who throw stones at Indian Army,” Yogi said while addressing a meeting of the Intellectual Cell of BJP in Moradabad on Friday.

Yogi said that the principle of any political party should be that the country should come first but for some parties it was their vested interest which came first.

“Congress has never talked about people. Rahul (Gandhi), it seems, is afraid of Indians but is soft towards terrorists,” he said.

“If you look at the history the Samajwadi Party, Bahujan Samaj Party and Congress, they are known for giving protection to terrorists. Today some leaders are visiting temples but during UPA regime, its leaders had questioned the very existence of Lord Ram and Lord Krishna,” Yogi said and questioned why the green flag of Muslim League was used during a roadshow of Rahul Gandhi after he filed nomination papers from Wayanad.

Yogi said that the BJP had talked about rashtra dharma as it believed in unity in diversity.

Talking about the achievements of his government, Yogi said that in the last two years, the exodus of people from Kairana had stopped and this had a positive impact on investments as TCS and Samsung had decided not to leave the state.

When asked about Mayawati’s statement that if Lord Ram’s statue could be installed in Ayodhya, what was wrong with her statue, Yogi said that Mayawati should be told that Lord Ram’s statue at Ayodhya was being installed not from tax payer’s money but from people’s contribution.
