Congress dared Samajwadi Party president Mulayam Singh Yadav to show evidence that United Progressive Alliance ever used any agency to terrorise the Opposition leaders. Party State president even went to on call SP supremo Rscowardice’ for keeping his mouth shut then and now making unnecessary and baseless charges.
"Congress had never used pressure tactics on anyone but if Mulayam had any such complaints against the than UPA government than he should have raised his voice and produce evidence for it”, reacted Nirmal Khatri while reacting very strongly to SP chief’s allegation that Central government at the Centre too was framing Opposition leaders like the previous Congress government. RsRsIf such a senior leader like Mulayam would made such remarks than I would only called him a Rscowardice’ for not displaying courage to open his mouth to such pressure tactics then”, added Khatri in presence of AICC general secretary, Madhusudan Mistri, who is also incharge of the Party affairs here in UP. Both Mistri and Khatri were addressing the media persons to reveal their agitation programme against the state government scheduled for coming August 17.
The Party also charged the Akhilesh Yadav government for not having control over the state machinery which has led to riots and law and order problems in the state. "I believe that if the chief minister takes a firm resolve, riots cannot take place anywhere in the state. But since they are happening it means either he is slack or people down in the administration are not listening to him...or that there is some tacit understanding", Mistry said.
"When Modi was the chief minister he used to say that Centre was committing atrocities in the name of GST bill and he took a lead at that time on the pretext that that it will curb the right of the states but now they are in power and rooting for GST bill", he said. Attacking the Modi government on suspension of 25 MPs, Mistry said "we believe that Modi government is trying to implement Gujarat model of governance where the entire Opposition used to be suspended for the whole session..". "There is no case for suspending these 25 MPs..lok Sabha and Rajya sabha are a forum to express peoples voice...had never imaged ever that Modi who claimed to be clean but is not is trying to protect corrupt people.. why can't he ask them to resign he simply wants to save them that is what Congress feels must be highlighted", he said.
Mistry, who earlier in the day held a meeting with vice-presidents and general secretaries of the state unit said that his Party will be holding a protest against the state government on August 17 and workers will gherao the Vidhan Sabha which will be in session at that time.
