Completion of its one year of Yogi Adityanath government in office but no change was visible : Akhilesh Yadav

Samajwadi Party president Akhilesh Yadav said on Monday that tall claims have been made by the Yogi Adityanath government on the completion of its one year in office but no change was visible on the ground level.

``The BJP government in the last one year has not done anything significant so far. Diverting public attention from real issues is the BJP’s character and only regional forces can stop its march,” said the SP president.

Akhilesh said, “The Yogi government has spent its first year in office by removing the word ‘Samajwadi’ from various schemes. The BJP has divided the society in the name of religion and festivals. It has duped the people after making hollow promises in its election manifesto.”

The SP chief said that even as Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath took the oath of office as per the Indian Constitution but he has no faith in either democracy or Constitution. He said that the coming together of the SP and the BSP has unnerved the BJP   and in desperation, ruling party leaders were speaking in intemperate language against the two parties.

Akhilesh further claimed that farmers, traders, youth and women were facing difficulties in the BJP regime. “The BJP government has zero sensitivity. This government has virtually destroyed helpline services like Dial-100, 1090 Women Power- line besides 108 and 102 Ambulance services,” he alleged.

“The public is disenchanted with the BJP governments both at the Centre and in the state. The effect was seen in the outcome of the recent lok Sabha by-elections in Gorakhpur and Phulpur. People have rejected the BJP and this will be visible in 2019 general elections,” Yadav said.
