The complainant, Om Shankar Dwivedi, who handed over an application to lokayuk Justice (retd) NK Mehrorta, alleging misuse of power by minister for mining, Gayatri Prasad Prajapati, claimed that if no action has been initiated on his report than he would go to High Court to seek a probe by the sleuths of Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) so that truth could come out before everyone.
He also claimed to be filing an application before Chief Justice of Allahabad High Court, besides going to meet Governor Ram Naik, to request them to disqualify Prajapati from membership of State Assembly as he filed a false affidavit while contesting for MlA. Interestingly, Dwivedi, who also sees threat to his life went on record to admit that he was very close to Prajapati for almost last two decades but he decided to expose his deeds as the minister not just refused to attended some family programmes even after being invited by the complainant but had also abused and misbehaved with him after he was elected to State Assembly and became minister.
``Chief minister Akhilesh Yadav is very honest and SP Supremo, Mulayam Singh Yadav is very kind hearted but still I know that they were not going to take action against Prajapati but if lokayukt would not initiate legal proceedings in he matter, then he would file a writ in the CBI and would even go to Apex Court to get a CBI enquiry ordered”, disclosed Dwivedi here on Saturday afternoon. In a press conference called by him, Dwivedi citied many charges of corruption and alleged that the man who has just shown wealth of Rs 1.83 crore, in his affidavit for last Assembly elections, in real had more than Rs 400 crore. Even after Prajapati became minister, his wealth rises to Rs 1350 crore. He also presented some registries of Prajapati to buttress his charges. ``lokayukt had summoned me on coming December 22 and I want to assure you that I will give evidence to all my charges to the lokayukt to let him initiate criminal proceedings against Prajapati”, asserted Dwivedi.
It may be mentioned that lokayukt had served a notice and summoned the complaint with more details into the corruption charges which he leveled against Prajapati. “We have received a complaint in 1,725 pages against Gyatri Prajapati in which the minister was accused of having use his official status to earn huge wealth on his, his family members and some other employees and relatives names”, disclosed Mehrorta while confirming to have summoned the complainant, Om Shankar Dwivedi, hailing from Pratapgarh to come with more proofs, which would buttress charges against the minister, on December 22.
``We have to examine some charges like the complainant said that the minister owned a dozen vehicles—2 Fortuners, 2 BMW, 3 Scorpio, 2 Innova, 1 Endeavour, and 1 Altis, but had not mentioned any registration or other details like owner of the vehicle on which basis we could proceed further the probe”, claimed Mehrotra while adding that similarly, he had to confirm regarding charges that minister and his son or some other persons closed to Prajapati had procured huge wealths by purchasing properties in the name of companies like Suhang Exports, Decent Contractors, like Cure Medical & Research Centre Private limited, MJA Contractors, Dream Destinations etc. The complainant also pointed that the Minister misused his post and earned disproportionate assets during his current tenure as the Minister.
