Bharatiya Janata Party's firebrand leader and MP from Gorakhpur lok Sabha constituency, Mahant Adityanath, on Sunday said Uttar Pradesh was witnessing communal tension because of the anti-Hindu attitude and pro-Muslim policies of the Samajwadi Party Government. Talking to media persons, Adityanath said tension was prevailing in many parts of the state due to anti-Hindu attitude of the state Government.
"Why is communal hatred simmering in the stateIJ Why are Hindus getting step-motherly treatment from the governmentIJ It is only because of the anti-Hindu policies of the Samajwadi Party Government. It is more concerned about Muslim welfare than welfare of all," Adityanath said. "The Government has launched a scholarship scheme exclusively for Muslim girls. This exclusivity raises many questions. Even Hindu girls are poor and they too want to study. Why is the Government not providing scholarship to them alsoIJ" he asked.
Indirectly targeting Samajwadi Party supremo Mulayam Singh Yadav, Adityanath said some people of a family are responsible for creating an environment of anarchy in the state. He said these leaders had a tendency of announcing themselves as socialists. "This is being done to derive political mileage out of it," he added. Adityanath also claimed that the BJP would form the government in Delhi and said the results of exit polls were false. The results of Delhi Assembly elections will be declared on February 10.
