Giving the information, DIG, Varanasi region, S K Bhagat said that the state government had planned to set up 70 mobile towers within next six months in naxal affected areas of Sonbhadra, Mirzapur and Chandauli districts. It may be noted that these areas are looked as Naxal belt where a number of ambushes between the forces and members of the ultra outfits had taken place in the past.
Bhagat further said that police officials have been instructed to keep a strict vigil on the anti-social elements who may try to hamper the communal harmony in the area. He also told that the people will have to take permission from the district administration for the arrangement of the meal of Kanwars in the holy month of Shrawan.
It may be noted that a number of Kanwarias used to visit holy place of lord Shiva in Shrawan month to offer puja. However, the Kanwaria will not be allowed to play DJ or play music in loud in the view of communal harmony. The station officers of the police stations will have to face strict disciplinary action if any such incident happens in their respective areas.
