Mystery shrouds the killing of a middle-aged Interemeidate College teacher in Bulundshahr, whose body was found inside her house in a burnt condition. A case was later registsred and the matter was being probed. Police is awaiting the autopsy report which could help them to ascertain the method and motive of the killing.
As per reports, Kusum Sirohi, a teacher in a Government Intermediate college in Bulundshahr used to living alone in Kotwali police station area after her husband died some years back. Her son was employed in Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida). On Sunday, her son tried to contact to her over the phone which was however not picked. He subsequently rang up some relatives but could not get a satifactory answer. On Monday morning, he somehow contacted the maid working for his mother and asked her to enquire.
When the maid visited the house, she found it locked from outside. While peeping inside, while she could not see anything but was greeted with a foul stcnh from inside the room. Suspecting foul play, she informed the neighbours who in turn informed the local police.
A police reached there and broke open the locks of the door only to found the body of Kusum lying on the floor. The police said that circumstantial evidences pointed that someone tried to kill the victim but she struggled hard to save herself. The cops suspected that in the process she might have fainted. The miscreants than poured some chemicals over her and torched her body before lockingthe house from outside and fleeing. The killing was suspected to be executed sometime late on Friday night.
Meanwhile in Bulandshahr, a farmer committed suicide in Ghansoorpur village as he was under depression due to an outstanding loan. The victim’s family members claimed that Madan Pal (55) was so depressed due to harassment from bank officials over non-repayment of the loan that he consumed poison on Sunday night. The victim was rushed to a nearby hospital where doctors pronounced him dead upon arrival.
A case was registered in this connection and the police was investigating to confirm the motive. The body was sent for autopsy
