Issuing a strict warning Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav said that those officials who failed to clear files in Tehsil diwas within the stipulated time would be punished while those doing good work would get appreciation letters.
"This is come to my notice that some officials just sit over the files delaying redressal of the problems of people. Director General of Police, Principal Secretary (Rural Development) and Secretary Basic Education should take action against those erring officials," Yadav said in a statement issued here on Monday.
Under the Government the applications in Tehsil diwas should be cleared within 7 days. In case of multi-departmental decision it should not take more than 15 days to clear the files. To get the feedback from the village levels call centres have been set up where details of all the files are logged in. Chief Minister has appreciated the work done by SDM Mauranipur (Jhansi), Padrauna (Kushinagar), Madhigarh (Jalaun), Mohanlalganj (lucknow) and Mohmudabad (Ghazipur) saying the decisions taken by the officials on the files were pertinent. "The District magistrates of these districts should give letter of appreciation to these officials," he said.
On the other hand clearance of files of officials in Phoolpur (Allahabad), and police station Sauranwa was late. Basic Shiksha Adhikari, Maharajganj was found sitting on a file since December 3, 2013. Yadav has asked DMs to issue warnings to these officials.
