Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has accepted the invitation of Pakistan High Commissioner to visit Pakistan very soon. This was informed by Pakistan High Commissioner Abdul Basit here on Monday after meeting Akhilesh Yadav at his official residence of 5, Kalidas Marg.
Basit said that the CM has accepted in principle the invitation to visit Pakistan.
Both Basit met Yadav for over 40 minutes during which they held discussions on several issues.”I told CM that UP and Pakistan have similar geographical and traditional trade and it can be promoted,” he said.
The CM also asked me to come to UP again next year, he said. Meanwhile the Pakistan high commissioner lauded the courtesy shown by the city of Nawabs during his stay in the city. “ I feel here like I am in my home,” Basit said.
