CM to review law and order situation in state

After the Panchayat polls, Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav would visit districts to get first hand information about the development schemes being implemented by his government and would also review the law and order situation with district level officers.

“The CM would start inspecting districts after Panchayat elections for which the DMs would be informed accordingly. He would review progress in implementation of development schemes,” a Government spokesman said in a statement issued in lucknow on Tuesday.

The spokesman said that if need be the CM would also visit villages and interact with the beneficiaries of the government schemes.

“Till date the CM has been reviewing the projects from lucknow. But now he has decided to see for himself about the schemes being implemented at the village level. Projects like Kanya Vidyadhan, laptop distribution and Samajwadi Pension would be reviewed,” the spokesman said.

He said the Chief Minister will also gather information about law and order and availability of seeds and fertilizers for the farmers. “He is also expected to discuss the power scenario with villagers and officers at the ground level. Schemes like connecting district headquarters with four-lane roads, maintenance of hospitals and availability of ambulances will also be discussed in the meeting,” the spokesman said.

District Magistrates have been given guidelines about different government schemes that will scrutinised during the CM’s visit. “They have also been given targets and have been asked to inform the government about implementation of schemes at the earliest,” the spokesman said.
