After giving strict warning to district officials to implement government policies in letter and in spirit Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath is now set to start inspection of districts and review implementation of development projects at the ground level from next Wednesday.

A senior official in Chief Minister’s office told The Pioneer that CM will start on the spot inspection as he had already given hint to the district officials that he will not spare anyone if anybody is found guilty in non-implementation of schemes.

“He had already given three months time to the district officials to improve delivery system. In the review meeting held last week he had told officials that his government wants work. Those who do not want to work in districts are free to leave and ask for transfer to some other departments,” the official said.

CM who will return from Myanmar on Monday will preside over cabinet meeting on Tuesday and from Wednesday will start his inspection.

The CM after taking over the post on March 19 last had given three months time to the district officials to set the development ball rolling and had announced that he will visit the districts to verify their claims.

According to sources CM would visit Gorakhpur on August 9 followed by Maharajganj on August 10 and then Ballia on August 11. The message has been sent to the districts about this visit that has made officials to work round the clock.

CM has already toured all the divisional headquarters and had held review meeting there. Now, he will be holding meetings at the district headquarters and would also visit district hospitals and nearby schools. “I want to interact with people and will tour districts. I want to go t them to know their problems,” CM had once told this reporter.

The focus of CM’s visit would be implementation of development schemes as well as review of law and order situation in the state.  Number of farmers to be benefited in the farm loan subsidy scheme and other central sponsored schemes like the ambitious Pradhanmantri Awas Yojgna would be the main focus for the CM. During his visit the CM could also inspect any primary schools and check the distribution of uniforms, books and the quality of midday meals.
