The BJP has criticised Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav for pursuing his political agenda at the cost of ignoring the poor law and order situion in Uttar Pradesh.Senior party spokesman Vijay Bahadur Pathak, said here on Tuesday that the CM cared little for the secutiy of women even on the occasion of Bhai-Dooj. He explained, "Cases of rape and molestation were being reported daily from different parts of the state but the police and administration was absolutely ineffective in checking the incidents or even providing justice to the victims".
Pathak said the CM was busy in further expanding his cabinet of ministers. "The CM has completely lost control over the bureaucracy and police officers".He said it was
unfortunate that the CM had not time to spare to streamline the police set up.He was busy touring other states where elections were to be held. The BJP spokesman said whether it was Muzaffarnagar, Unnao or Kanwal, incidents of violence were carrying on
unabated. Criminals were roaming scot free and the police had virtually given up in arresting them.He asked the CM to immediatelt tone up the police set up and ensure safety to women in the state.
