Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav stressed need of women empowerment and claimed that schemes launched by his government had already facilitated upliftment of the youth particularly the girl child.

``The number of girl students both in High School, Intermediate seen a sudden rise just after the successful introduction of schemes like Kanya Vidyadhan Yojna, Hamari Beti Uska Kal etc", claimed Akhilesh Yadav while calling the girls to come forward and help in progress and development of the State as well as Country.

``If a girl child is educated, then the entire family will be educated, and even the brought-up of their children is also good", cited chief minister while stressing that if they wanted development and progress of the entire society than they had to educate girl child. Akhilesh Yadav was speaking during an interaction with the principals, teachers and students of Muslim Girls Colleges and madarsas here at residence at Kalidas Marg on Saturday afternoon.

Calling that no one could overlook the minority community which constitutes half of the total population, Chief Minister attacked Opposition Parties for flaying laptop distribution schemes of his government. ``laptop scheme is the biggest socialist as well as secular policy of my government which forwarded a gadget where any student could get information or knowledge about any thing just as the tip of a mouse", cited chief minister. He said that in some neighbouring states like Rajasthan, Chattisgarh etc had criticised their schemes and had instead announced to give laptops just to outstanding students in the name of stopping it’s misuse. ``They gave laptops  to scholars but we give laptop to every student just as my government wanted that even a weakest student should get fair and equal chance of getting good knowledge and make himself brilliant", claimed Akhilesh saying that his government had a socialist thinking i.e to give equal chance to everyone. Chief minister also lauded other schemes of his government like 1090- Women Power line, 102-Amubulance Services, Unemployment Allowance, SP Pension Scheme etc.

Replying to demand of a check on misuse of schemes raised by one of the Speakers, Akhilesh, without taking name of bureaucracy,  said that though it is very tough to take work from a highly educated person but still he would assure that proper measures would be taken for timely review of all the welfare schemes so that it could reach to the targeted person.
