The records of districts will now be a click of the mouse away as Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav has launched a website that will have a gazette of districts highlighting the social and cultural aspect of the area. Yadav launched the website www.gazett.UP.nic.in “The gazettes are very important documents which have all the records of the districts. Now anyone sitting anywhere can have an access to these records,” Yadav said during the website launch function here on Wednesday. “I myself faced the dilemma of not having the records of a district. I asked for the gazette at district and officials did not have gazette. Now, all the records have been digitalized and uploaded,” Yadav said. He said gazette of 54 districts have been made available till date and rest would be made available soon. The website has been prepared by District Gazzeteer department of UP.
