Senior superintendent of Police of Aligarh, Amit Pathak who confirmed  of the FIR said that the matter will be investigated before taking action against the MlA as he too accused the cop of misbehaving with them.
Reports said that SP MlA from Chharra constituency of Aligarh, Rakesh Singh and his 25 armed supporters barged inside the office of Sub-Inspector (SI) Shabih Haider at the Reserve police lines on Tuesday evening. They threatened him and his family with dire
consequences, but when cohorts of the MlA found that their illegal move has been video graphed and might invite trouble for them they snatched the camera and reportedly damaged it beside manhandling the SI. later when some other cops reached the spot, MlA and his henchmen reportly left the scene of crime sensing trouble.
However, the SI, Shabih Haider lodged a report in this regard claimed that the legislator was very annouyed with him as  his official security guard had been transferred without taking him into confidence. On the SI’s complaint, a case under relevant sections of IPC was registered against  Rakesh Singh, his five supporters Shekhar, Sonu, Raj Sahab, Jamal Ghazi and Pradeep Gaur and 20 unidentified
persons, at Civil lines police station.  The SP MlA, who also met senior police officials late last night also alleged that the SI had misbehaved with him and had denied that he or his aides made any ruckus.
Interestingly, to evade any arrest against him or even on his aides, Rakesh Singh also threatened to sit on a dharna outside Reserve police lines if  stern action was not taken against the cops whom he claimed to be guilty. SSP Amit Pathak handed over a probe into the matter to a local deputy SP so that truth could come out and necessary action should be taken in the matter.
