CM congratulates UP board pass out students

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath congratulated the successful students who passed Class X and XII examinations of UP Secondary Education Board and announced to felicitate the top 10 meritorious students with cash awards.

In a statement issued in lucknow on Friday, Yogi said that the girls have again fared better than the boys which shows that Prime Minister Narendra Modi's  'Beti Bachao, Beti Padhao' campaign has gained popularity among people.

The statement further said that the CM would soon be felicitating the top ten merit holders of High School and Intermediate exams and give them cash awards. “Necessary instructions for this have been given to the Secondary Education department,” it said.

Incidentally, the BJP in its poll campaign had announced that it would give laptops to Class XII pass students but the CM’s announcement was silent on that.

UP Madhyamik Siksha Parishad announced the results of Class Xth and XII boards where girls fared better than the boys. The pass percentage of Class X was  81.18 per cent, which has lower by 6 per cent as compared to last year while in Class XII, the pass percentage was 82.62 per cent, a slide of  around 5 per cent. A total of over 54 lakh students appeared for the examinations this year.
